Staring at a face of beauty;

REVIEW

I'm one of the most insecure person ever. I'm sure everyone knows that. It's not that I'm proud of it, in fact, I need to get rid of it. I do have confidence but I'm always not satisfied by the way I look. One reason is because  of my skin complexion which is honestly, killing me slowly by pushing me into a pit of embarrassment.
I have this big problem with whiteheads next to my nose and under the eyes and stretched before my cheeks. Also of my forehead. An even bigger problem with my blackheads. Mine are the type where it's semi visible. I really don't know how to say it! wait! they look something like this!
Except mine's not that bad (nor disgusting. no offense to the person who's nose is this) Mine are slightly less visible and without those white flaky things petruding out of my pores. I really have no clue what to do and I am honestly, so so so desperate to get rid of them and the rest of the imperfections I have on my skin. One culture which I admire are Koreans. Korean actresses have the best skin complexions. For some reason, all of them do :P That is no wonder why Korean beauty stores flood malls and why their products are sold cheap in different type of stores. I'm not saying they're not good but for those of you who don't dare try because you know how bad your skin can get, please do not even attempt it. oh btw, before I continue, zoom into the picture by clicking it or something. LOOK AT HOW DISGUSTING THOSE BLACKHEADS ARE. Okay, moving on. Today's post would be a review on a beauty product I bought a week ago or so, on blackhead removal and along with a few tips.

As I said, A week ago or so, I bought a product from Etude House and obviously, as desperate as I am right now, It is used to remove blackheads. It is called the Etude House Black Head Remover Dual Sheet. It comes in a very cute packaging which consist of 2 sheets (one on each packet). One side is to 'remove' blackheads and another side is to tighten back the pores of where the blackheads have been removed so that it won't clog up again.

The back of the packaging comes with instructions. I bet they used google translate cause I couldn't understand a single shit that was printed. I used my common sense to try understand.

Step 1 contains a sheet of fibre like fabric which to me can really itch up my nose and make me sneeze as if there's no tomorrow. As soon as I applied it, I started sneezing with no ends. This also happens if the scent of something is too strong, which in this case, both of the above was my problem. This sheet is (as written on the packaging) "formulated with a fruit complex to supply Alpha Hydroxy Acids for mild skin peel exfoliation, remover sheet draws out pore residues for wipe off removal. Contains Orange, Lemon and Grape extracts." Well, unlike normal blackhead removal sheets/strips, this one is soaked and very very slippery. Apparently, I don't know how it works. Like what in the world? How the hell is it supposed to help but probably, as the instruction says, it's put to work to take out pore residues like sebum and exposed blackheads/whiteheads. Tear up the packaging and remove sheet slowly and quite carefully as the liquid might drip but if you don't want also nevermind la. You can do whatever you want, not my floor also. Apply for 15 minutes. I don't know which way up is right. I think I placed it on my nose wrongly. LOL

After this process, we are asked to use cotton swabs or pad to wipe off the sebum and blackheads/whiteheads in downwards motion. So let's just name this step 1.5

Step 2 contains a tightening Gel Sheet which (also as written on the packaging) is "formulated with fresh herbs to heal and soothe pores, gel sheet tightens and nourishes pores with cooling sensation. Contains Rosemary, Lavender and Peppermint."
This sheet is pasted on another plastic strip which you then have to peel to reveal it's "magic" gel. You then paste this tightening gel sheet on your nose and leave it for 15 minutes.

My opinion on this wonderful product? DON'T FREAKING GET IT! I'm dead serious. I was right. How the hell does a soaked sheet extract your blackheads out? I get it that you want to absorb the sebum onto the sheet but then, you people should've named it "Sebum Absorbing Sheet That DOES NOT Remove Black Heads". So this is what happened, other than the fact I positioned it on my nose wrongly because there isn't a clear description on how to place it the right way up (or maybe my common senses are gone), it made me sneeze my imaginary balls out, literally. It kept slipping off my nose and I kept having to place it back to where it was before. After 15 minutes, I removed the product out of my face and for some reason, my blackheads were extra obvious and so were my white heads. I tried squeezing those little female dogs out but nothing came out. Frustration on step 1. And so, I continued with Step 1.5. I wiped my nose in downwards motion but the picture tells me to wipe upwards. I was then confused for awhile until i decided which way I wanted would do. Then I applied sheet no.2. Some say it smells like peppermint and herbs la, what shit, to me it just smells like coconut and I hate coconut scented things.

FAQ.
Where can I get it?
Obviously, Etude House.

Would you try it again?
BLOODY HELL NO.

Would it have a bad after effect?
That, I can't answer because for me, it just enhanced the disgusting things on my face. I'm too scared to check the mirror again now to see if it's settled down.

And thanks to my greediness, I have 2 packets more. For whomever who wants them and think that it would work wonders for them, you can just say so in  whatever and I will give you my email or you can give me your address so that I can give them to you.

How do I normally clear my blackheads are by using blackhead removal strips. DRY AND STICKY ONES! THE ONES THAT WORK. My all time favourite are the ones by Biore. Many people know of this product and it's because it works! These strips work as if they've been magically charmed. They pull out my stubborn blackheads leaving only even stubborn ones :P
What I like about Biore's Pore Pack is that the original ones come in white and black with no scent. With the white ones, you can see the dirty ends of your blackheads that have been exposed to dirty air that causes it to oxidise. With the black pore strips, you can see all the tiny detailed blackheads that you've removed. They would appear as tiny white/slight yellowish grass on the strips. Yes, they stick upwards.
But the biggest reason why I love them so much is that they come out with limited edition ones which are beautifully scented. I had one packet in Banana and Orange scents. Now, I have one in grape fruit. What they mean by limited edition is that they change the scent and only make one batch of it. You will never get them again once they're all sold out but instead, you can try a different scent. There's also one in rose.

SEE! They're so cute right?

Can I give the tips next time? LOL! I'm just too tired now :( I promise you, I would come up with a post just on home remedy face care :)
